Same series, different rivers
Both shows belong to China's celebrated "Impression" series of large-format outdoor performances staged on real water using the natural landscape as the set — but Liu Sanjie's Li River/karst setting and West Lake's Hangzhou lake setting are visually and geographically distinct productions.
Which one should you book?
If your itinerary takes in Guilin/Yangshuo, Impression Sanjie Liu is the natural pick — a genuinely different show from West Lake's if your trip also passes through Hangzhou, worth seeing both rather than treating them as duplicates.
